The MIM facility of INMET is an integrated set-up to perform a range of operations including engineering and process design, tool making, mold design, debinding, sintering and assembly and finishing. The manufacturing capability at Jejuri, Pune also includes precision machining, heat-treating, assembly and plating operations.

A wide range of alloys and pre-alloys can be molded during MIM process. These materials or feedstock includes all types of steels, stainless steels, controlled expansion alloys, super alloys, soft magnetic alloys, tungsten alloys and copper alloys.

Design features for MIM are similar to those of plastic injection molding or die casting. We have a competency to design and manufacture our molds and tools in-house. This enables us to deliver MIM products which excel in quality, precision and performance.

Our tooling capability is very flexible. Our tool room resources include CNC Vertical Milling Machine, CNC Electrode Discharge Machine, CNC Wire EDM Machine, Surface Grinding Machine and other advanced mechanisms for accurate tool manufacturing.
